New Cars Clog Port

From the New York Times:
Gleaming new Mercedes cars roll one by one out of a huge container ship here and onto a pier. Ordinarily the cars would be loaded on trucks within hours, destined for dealerships around the country. But these are not ordinary times.

The Article is: "A Sea of unwanted imports"

I wonder how someone who works for the New York times can't tell the difference between a car carrier and a container ship? The point is however if imported cars are clogging up ports and more are doubtlessly still in transit things do not look good for shipping.
